The current staff SOE is of a modular design, this allows for a flexible imaging process. There are 5 modules that make up the staff SOE; the base, the driver pack, the office pack, the standard Monash application pack and the indivdual faculty apps.
Base Image
The base image only includes Windows XP Service Pack 3 and application that assist in the maintenance and deployment of the image in the Monash Enviornment. The base image includes the following applications:

Driver add-on images
The staff image will not be catering for all hardware types. Drivers in the base image will be kept to a minimum. Driver add-on images will only include drivers for a specfic piece of hardware. Once a new piece of hardware arrives a driver zmg can be created to support the hardware model. Below is a list of the current supported models and there driver packs.

Image Deployment
Note: If you wish to use this image in your staff production enviornment please contact EWS. The latest version of the ZENworks boot disk is required to deploy the image.
There are 2 ways to deploy the image using the boot CD.
1. Automated: Boot from the CD and select "Monash" from the menu. The ZENworks boot disk will then load and run and monash script that asks you to log in using your mgr account. Once you have logged in a list of available image will appear. Simply type in the name of the image you want and all the img commands will be automated. To use this deployment method you must have a staff MGR account and you must have sufficient rights. If your MGR account can not deploy the image please log a HEAT call to EWS requestiing rights to deploy the staff SOE.
2. Maunal: Boot from the CD and select Manual Mode, you can then enter commands from the bash prompt:
