Monash University Studies Online (Moodle)

Description

The purpose of the 2009 project is to begin the implementation process for an open-source based Learning Management System (Moodle) production service. By the time funding decisions are being made for 2011, we will understand the longer term strategy for the entire MUSO service.

During 2009 this project will:

• implement Moodle into the MUSO framework (including technology, training and support and integration with the my.monash portal);
• create middleware to facilitate automatic input and update of student, staff and cohort information from Callista;
• release Moodle for use by a limited number of students and staff and;
• evaluate the value and benefit Moodle provides to the online learning framework
