Palm - Monash Email Configuration Guide
1. Account Setup
Click the VersaMail icon from the "desktop" of the PDA to begin mail
client configuration.
Complete the details as seen in the screen capture to the left.

Enter the users Authcate username under the Username:
field.
Click -Unassigned- the users password when prompted.

Enter the users Email Address in the field provided and complete
the server fields using the details below.

Tick the Get unread email ONLY checkbox. This
will reduce the amount of time it takes to synchronise the device.
Complete the rest of the details as seen in the screen capture.

Enter the users name in the field marked Your Name (for
display only).

Ensure the outgoing port number is 25.
Click Done to complete PDA configuration.
Important: HotSync device before progressing to next step.
9. VersaMail Configuration for...
Begin the PC configuration by clicking Start->All Programs->Palm
Desktop->VersaMail configuration
Click VersaMail in the left hand window and complete
the details as seen in the righthand window. Click on the "+"
beside the Monash option in the left hand window
and click Mail Client Sync Setup to continue.
10. VersaMail Configuration for...
Tick the checkbox as seen in the screen capture and select Direct
IMAP connection to server from the mail client drop down
list.
Click Advanced Sync Options to continue.
11. VersaMail Configuration for...
Complete the fields and tick the check boxes as seen in the screen
capture .
Click the "+" next to Handheld Settings
and click Account Information to continue.
12. VersaMail Configuration for...
Complete the users display name, e-mail address, Authcate username
and password in the fields provided.
Click Server Settings to continue.
13. VersaMail Configuration for...
Complete the server details as seen in the screen capture.
Click the "save" icon (IE the icon of the floppy disc),
then close the window.
Hotsync the device to test.
